Parent Spotlight
We are proud to shine this month’s Parent Spotlight on Eliany, a remarkable mom whose story reflects strength, resilience, and hope.
Eliany is the devoted mother of three children, two in our School Age Program and one in our Preschool. When her children first came to Gregg House, they were living in the custody of their grandparents. Through hard work, dedication, and love, Eliany has reunited her family and become a model of perseverance for us all.
Today, Eliany is in college pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher. Inspired by her own journey and the support she has received, she plans to focus on trauma-informed teaching and social-emotional learning so she can one day help children and families facing challenges similar to her own.
In her own words: “Gregg House has been a huge part of the kids’ and my journey of healing and growing. With the help and motivation of not only the preschool staff but also the after-school staff, things have been less hard on days that felt really heavy. All the support has encouraged me to start a career in early childhood education so I can help other children and families like the one I found myself experiencing not too long ago.”
We are truly honored to be part of Eliany’s story and inspired by the incredible example she sets for her children and our entire community.
